Darien's 16th Annual Arbor Day Celebration takes place on Friday morning, April 24 at 9:30 am, in Lindenwood Park, on 79th Street, ¼ mile East of Cass Ave.

Students from Cass Jr. High and Lace Schools will be in attendance. Cass School is raising butterflies for their release during this event. The Morton Arboretum will educate and entertain the students with tree knowledge. Sharon Convalle will orchestrate the children in singing the Peace Tree Song, while our Tree Chaplain Fr. Gavin performs an ecumenical blessing over each Memorial tree. Our own Tri-State Fire Dept. will remind all of us of what we should do in case of a fire, and barring no emergencies, may even water our new Memorial trees.
