Many residences in Darien are without power due to the impacts of yesterday's storm. The storm that passed through the region yesterday interrupted power to nearly 300,000 customers and caused extensive damage that is expected to result in a multiple day restoration effort. ComEd is working to restore electric service and expects full restoration by Thursday, June 27th, though it is anticipated to occur sooner.
There are some other areas in the community without power as well. If you are experiencing a power outage but have not yet reported it, please call ComEd at 1-800-Edison1 (1-800-334-7661).
Those without power and seeking relief from the humidity are encouraged to visit the Indian Prairie Public Library, located at 401 Plainfield Road. Anyone in distress due to medical or other issues should
call 9-1-1 immediately.
