Help to make this Organization GREAT and VOLUNTEER!
Are you interested in making a difference in the local business community?
Consider joining the DACC
Board of Directors!!

Together with other Directors, the Board is responsible for ensuring effective and fiscally sound programs and operations by providing leadership, advice, assistance, and direction to the staff and volunteers of the organization.  Board members lead the organization in providing support in many ways including attendance at events, sponsorship of activities, advocating for the business community, chairing and volunteering on committees, etc.  General members do notice whether Board members are involved.  The example of Board Members sets a standard for others to follow.

Serving on the Board is a rewarding experience and an opportunity for professional growth.  Each Director is essential to the success of the Chamber and should understand the responsibilities and commitment required of a Director.

Some of the board expectations you should know about include:
*You must be an investor/member in good standing with the Delphos Area Chamber of Commerce.
     *This is a three-year term.
*You are expected to make every effort to attend regularly scheduled and special Board meetings.  Board Meetings are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon.
*Participate in active chamber committees and volunteer at various chamber events.

If you have an interest in representing your chamber colleagues as a Director on this Board, please fill out and return the Board of Directors Application no later than Monday, February 7th.  The current Board will meet Tuesday, February 8th at noon to discuss and vote on candidates.

We hope you consider this active leadership role in promoting the civic, economic, and social welfare of Delphos, the surrounding area, and the chamber investors!

If you would like more information, feel free to contact us.
Looking for ways to get involved but
can't commit to a Board position?

Consider participating on a committee!

The Chamber has formed committees to help carry out the growing program of work that we offer.  We currently have a few committees without Chairmen and little to no members.  The programs and services of these committees are currently on hold and are at risk of discontinuation if the positions are not filled.

If you are interested in getting more involved in your Chamber and community, and increasing your exposure and relationships with fellow business representatives, please consider participating in one of our committees.  Please review, fill out, and return the Committee Volunteer application, which also includes a brief description of the committees' work.

If you are interested in chairing a committee, please review, fill out, and return the  Chairperson Responsibilities form.  Chairmen are selected at the discretion of the President and subject to the approval of the Board of Directors.

We are currently seeking Chairpersons for the following Committees:
Fundraising & Events Division *Market Fest
*Canal Days-Grand Prize Drawing

Membership Development Division

*Ambassador Program
*Membership

Public Affairs Division
*Community Development
*Economic Development

Kiwanis kick off fundraising for new
Splash Pad in Delphos

The Kiwanis Club of Delphos has been kicking around the idea of building a splash pad at Stadium Park for several years and it looks like those plans will come to fruition in the spring of 2017.

A splash pad is a recreation area for water play that has no standing water. Because of the zero-depth water play area, it can be operated without lifeguards or attendants. The splash pad provides endless hours of fun for the entire family. It combines the sensations of different water movements - flowing, misting, and jetting.
