Three benefits of following up

Our network is a resource of people there to help us, but its members also expect us to follow up (in a timely fashion) and let them know if their advice, feedback, or referral was helpful. Following up gives us an opportunity to build stronger rapport. Here's how:

• It closes the communication loop
• It's an opportunity to recap what happened as well as letting the person know what is happening now. 
• It adds to the other person's knowledge bank.
