Don't wait for a changed environment 

Unexpected career turns are a fact. Even if you can't predict, you still need to think ahead. How: by always seeing learning as a continuous part of change -- by broadening your current knowledge base through training, upgrading your transferable skills, and keeping track of your accomplishments.
