Building everyday rapport
We always try to remember to touch base (one-on-one) when we hear about graduations, new jobs, promotions, and other major events in our network members' lives. But true rapport is built through the informal, unscheduled times when impromptu, casual interactions based on plain ol' everyday talk (or "the little things" of life) help us to identify and then establish common ground--the best way to really get to know someone and build a relationship. |
