Which career goals?

As NKH points out daily, your network is a primary resource in helping you reach your career goals-- but before you "reach out" to members, be sure your have "reached in" and have a clear picture of your long term primary goals (e.g., to move from sales to management or to remain in a specific geographic area) and are able to identify additional work/life goals that can be achieved along with/around your primary goals
