Spiritual Message
THE HEALING HEART
God calls upon us to be instruments of His healing Grace. We respond when we feel the stirrings of compassion. That compassion is the silent inner realm and the first step in the language of the soul. It is the "still small voice" of God speaking within us. That language is more definite and certain than that of words and sounds, because it has none of their limitations.
There seems to be certain mechanisms involved in the healing process. When you act as an instrument of God's healing power you must look beyond the wounded heart, the damaged body or the pain of the individual and see them as God must see them. I believe that God must see them as whole, perfect and complete as he created them. I believe that must have been how Jesus Christ saw those whom he healed.
A minister from my long ago past, Rev. Gene Graves, explained to me how that image-working power of our mind should function. He said, "If you threw a broom in a body of water you might see a wavy floating image of a broom, but you would know the "truth" of that broom is that it is indeed straight." It is the same when visualizing the true nature of the individual, as God must see them. Perhaps that is why love is such a healing power - it goes beyond the surface of the individual and reaches in and touches them in their very depths, into their true nature. If you feel you are lacking in faith, just walk past this and know the truth of the individual as God created them. We are told over and over that faith is integral in healing as in other blessings in life. When we understand to look beyond what we see with our eyes to what we know with our soul then we have ignited that faith within us.
Another mechanism seems to be the power of the emotion. When you look at the word compassion, what does it mean? Simply, with passion. To pray with passion and pray with diligence and confidence in God 's promise is to serve as an instrument of healing. Through prayer we develop the highest phase of character. Prayer softens and refines the whole man. To love enough, to do this simple act, connects you with the heart of God to the heart of the person for whom you are expressing love. Notice the Lord's Prayer that Jesus gave as a model is simplicity itself. It is not a prayer of begging or supplication but simply an affirmation of God's promises. So therefore, I believe the healing prayer could be, " Father, I believe the Holy truth of this individual, in your sight, is perfect health of body, mind and soul. And so it is. "
The last of the mechanisms of healing is a grateful heart. Be thankful from the beginning of the process to the finish. To pray, meditate and act from the stirrings of the soul places our feet on the path of being used as an instrument of God's blessings to this world. For this we are truly grateful.

We are a Community of Prayer
We offer many ways to request and share prayer concerns and joys. At Fellowship services we offer prayer sharing during the service, there is a prayer box at the front of the sanctuary for prayer requests and Prayer Chaplains in front of the sanctuary after the service for prayers, tears, laughs and hugs. Prayers can also be requested on the website,www.HarmonyFellowshipofFortWorth.org and on the Harmony Fellowship Facebook page. You are always in our thoughts and prayers.
Harmony Fellowship is a group of like-minded people that believe in unconditional love, positive energy and living what we believe. We meet the each Sunday of the month. There is meditation every Fellowship and we will hold space for all of those facing challenges and/or celebrations.
To provide flowers for a Sunday service, make out a $75 check to Harmony Fellowship and drop it into the collection basket or give it to Joe or Rebecca. Let us know what the occasion is - even if there isn't one! The flowers are yours to take after service.
The Fellowship begins at 10:30 with a meet and greet at 10:15. Following the worship service, there are always people to pray with anyone individually. We have a pot luck luncheon on the 2nd and 4th Sundays and there is always enough food so please join us. The location of the Fellowship is:
Harmony Fellowship
824 Pennsylvania Avenue
Fort Worth, TX 76104
There is parking on the side and in the back of the building, on the street and in the parking lot across from the back of the building. Just a safety reminder, keep any valuables in your trunk.
