ImproveCareNow Expands to 46 Care Centers

ImproveCareNow is pleased to announce that the Network has expanded to include 46 participating care centers.  The Network now spans 26 states and includes one center in London, England.  Centers participating in ImproveCareNow include nine of the top 12 honor roll children's hospitals, and 19 of the top 30 pediatric gastroenterology programs according to the US News & World Report. The 46 ImproveCareNow centers have 425 pediatric gastroenterologists caring for 14,100 patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta | Children's at Scottish Rite located in Atlanta, Georgia is joining under the joint leadership of Drs. Ben Gold and Glen Lewis. 

 

Children's Hospital of Illinois located in Peoria, Illinois is joining under the leadership of Dr. Chris Mullett and Kathy Gensel, CPNP.

 

Cook Children's located in Fort Worth, Texas is joining under the leadership of Dr. Nick Ogunmola    

    

Kravis Children's Hospital at Mount Sinai (ranked 21st in pediatric gastroenterology) located in New York City is joining ImproveCareNow under the joint leadership of Drs. David  Duncan and Keith Benkov, and Clare Ceballos, RN, PNP.

 

LA Children's Hospital (ranked 5th among the best children's hospitals and 7th in pediatric gastroenterology) located in Los Angeles, California is joining under the leadership of Dr. Gil Bultron.  

 

OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital located in Portland, Oregon is joining ImproveCareNow under the leadership of Dr. Linda Muir.

 

Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital located in Hershey, Pennsylvania is joining under the leadership of Dr. Marc Schaefer. 

 

Seattle Children's Hospital (ranked 6th among the best children's hospitals and 14th in pediatric gastroenterology) located in Seattle, Washington is joining ImproveCareNow under the leadership of Dr. Ghassan Wahbeh.

   

UCSF Beinoff Children's Hospital (ranked 20th in pediatric gastroenterology) located in San Francisco, California is joining under the leadership of Dr. Mel Heyman.

 

Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital (ranked 22nd in pediatric gastroenterology) located in New Haven, Connecticut is joining under the joint leadership of Drs. Dinesh Pashankar, Anthony Porto and Uma Phatak; and Sue Johnson, MS, APRN. 

 

ImproveCareNow is an active, open learning health network that uses collaboration and data to drive improvements in the care and health of all kids with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Since ImproveCareNow began, the percentage of kids with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis who are enrolled in the program and in remission (feeling well, no symptoms, fully active) has increased from 50% to over 75% - all without new medicines.
