We are pleased to announce a new PIKE Diamond Crystal Platelifetime warranty on the diamond/ZnSe plate used with the MIRacle single reflection  ATR accessory. All diamond/ZnSe plates purchased on or after November 1, 2013 will be covered by this warranty.

The durability of the PIKE diamond/ZnSe crystal plate makes it ideal for analyzing hard materials. It also performs well with acidic and alkaline samples. The MIRacle accessory is available for all brands of FTIR spectrometers.

 

 

Specular Reflection Spectroscopy with Viewing
FTIR specular reflection sampling represents an important technique useful for measurement of films on reflective substrates and bulk solid materials. In most commercial accessories, the sample is placed face down on the mask or optical body making it difficult to determine the exact sampling point. An infrared spectrum was collected of ink on a coated aluminum surface using an accessory with a built-in camera for precise sample positioning.
