Greetings from the Grand Strand!
This is going to be a brief newsletter this month (although still full of reports, best buys and all the usuals).
Be ready for a big edition next month. I'll be sharing info on several new neighborhoods coming soon within a block of the ocean. I'll also be reviewing 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and a few special "best buys".
I know I say this every year at about this time but if you haven't visited the Grand Strand in the fall, here's what you're missing - the best weather of the year, festivals galore, smaller crowds, lower nightly rates (for those of you who don't own in the area yet), numerous sports events, and more. It's also a great time to look at real estate if you are thinking of buying. There are always a few bargains to be had.
Speaking of great weather, it's supposed to be a very nice Labor Day weekend. If you're planning a trip, don't let the storm-chasing weathermen scare you away. It's true that Tropical storm Hermine is scheduled to visit tomorrow evening (after crossing Florida from the Gulf), but she is also expected to quickly depart, leaving us with a beautiful Labor Day weekend. No significant damage is expected - just lots of rain and wind Friday night.
That's it for this month. Read on for this month's reports and my Best Buy picks.
Come see me at the beach!
