Greetings from Myrtle Beach,

First, for all my readers in the northeast, my teams' hopes and prayers are with you as you deal with the aftermath of "Superstorm" Sandy. Nature's true power was certainly on display. We hope that the recoveries of your homes, businesses, families and communities are realized as quickly as possible. Our area was lucky this time, getting some wind and rain but no damage.

Real estate sales activity in the months immediately preceding a close presidential election is usually slow in our area as potential buyers seem to be frozen by the uncertainty. This year I've barely noticed any slowdown at all. My best guess is that buyers recognize that the buying conditions are just too good to pass up, regardless of what happens in the election. This thought ties in nicely with some research I've been doing. Check out my article on how unbelievably affordable resort condos have become.

I came to work for The Hoffman Group 2 years ago, largely because it had the highest sales volume per agent of any real estate sales company on the Grand Strand - particularly for oceanfront condos which make up a large part of my business. The Hoffman Group's condo sales have totaled over $2.5 billion during the last 12 years.  The stats in the article below show how the company has dominated condo sales for many years and continues to do so.

I've been moonlighting a bit, providing some comments and other content for one of The Hoffman Group's websites. Click on the links below to take a look. (I really wish I'd pulled that picture of me in the tux!)  Grand Strand RE Regaining HealthSpotlight on Gene Carter

In the last newsletter I mentioned that a large group of bank-owned condos might be hitting the market soon. Although I have nothing new to report, there has been lots of interest and I expect these to sell quickly if and when they become available. Please contact me if you want more info or if you want to be added to my list to contact immediately as we learn more.

My best buy picks this month include outstanding opportunities in Bay View, Caribbean, Prince I & II, Edgewater at Barefoot Resort, Brighton at Kingston Plantation, Camelot, Dunes Village, Monterey Bay, Sea Watch, South Wind and Paradise Resort.

Come see me at the beach!

Condo Affordability Never Better

This is a bit of an update on an article I wrote for the April newsletter about how the cash flows were the best I had ever seen for vacation rental condos.  Because of improvements in available financing as well as rental incomes, which continue to trend higher....Click here to read more
Hoffman Group Dominates Condo Market

November 18 marks my two year anniversary with The Hoffman Group.  There were a number of reasons I chose this particular company but one of the primary ones was the fact that they have dominated the Grand Strand condominium sales market.....Click here to read more
