Where Is Wow Now?

Wow has a busy spring ahead full of presentations and workshops across the country. Here's what we have in store for the next couple of weeks:

 

Wow will present Myths & Facts of the College Essay for Washtenaw International High School's first graduating class in Ypsilanti, MI on April 22.

 

For the second year in a row, the Michigan Association for College Admission Counseling (MACAC) has asked Wow to present a session on the Myths & Facts of the College Essay at their annual Camp College event on May 2 at Oakland University. Camp College is a college-planning workshop for high school students in grades 10-11 from underrepresented and underserved populations in Michigan.

Appealing to a College for More Financial Aid

Now that students are receiving admissions decisions from the colleges they've applied to, it's time to consider the next important factor in making the enrollment decision: the financial aid package. This New York Times article explores

how to appeal to a college for additional financial aid if you are unsatisfied with their initial award.

ScholarshipAdvisor.com, one of Wow's favorite resources for scholarship information, recently released an updated app. Create an account, and sort scholarships by title, deadline, award amount, or category. Undergraduate and graduate school opportunities included. Check it out!
