Wow Working with Nonprofits, City Schools
Last month, Wow's Kim Lifton traveled to Chicago to meet 60 first-generation college applicants at the Pedro Albizu Campos High School. While there she taught the group how to use Wow Online and trained teachers how to brainstorm essay ideas with students more effectively. Wow has also been working with the Detroit-based InsideOut Literary Arts Project and Let's Get Ready, a nonprofit on the East coast to teach college essay writing to students.
