Learn to Be a Better Boater ...

BUZZARDS BAY SAIL & POWER SQUADRON
PRESENTS AMERICAS BOATING COURSE for 12
to 16 year-old students.
The course offers MA certification for power
boat operation by 12-15 year-olds, covering the basics needed to operate
a boat safely, including
rules of the road,
required equipment, personal watercraft operation, and boat handling techniques.
When: Saturdays, JUN 20 and 27, 10am - 4pm
Where: West Falmouth Public Library
Cost: $50 per student
Restricted: To first 20 students registered.
Registration and payment need to be received by
June 10th. Make checks payable to Buzzards Bay

It's Time to Sign Up for the
BassAckwards Race and Poker Run!

2015 is the year that BassAckwards will salute great foolery of
years past, returning to some of the fun that made this such a
great tradition!
Bringing Back the Friday Night Theme Party ...
- "Hollywood: Yesterday and Today!" Dress up for fun as your favorite screen star or movie character - 'cause how often do you get to live the night as somebody else?
- An open bar. Can't hurt. Enjoy complimentary Harpoon Ales, Cono Sur Wines, Tito's Vodka and Mt. Gay Rum drinks!
- The Charity Raffle will include some great items, with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the work of the Buzzards Bay Coalition to keep our Bay beautiful!
- In addition to the music and dancing, Chariot Pizza Wood-Fired Catering will return by popular demand as the dinner sponsor of this year's event. Pizza and dessert, made to order and prepared in Chariot's wood oven right at the tent!
On Race Day ...
- We've listened to your feedback and returned to the pursuit race of years passed - rewarding the fastest and most challenged boats alike. The goal: Everyone finishes at the same time with a smile on his face! No individual race classes this year - just sail to the handicap we negotiate and fabricate - and may the best crew win!
- Poker Run participants will venture to some brand new stops, in a circuit designed to make sure that everyone who starts on time can finish on time!
- All boats will get shirts, swag, and the brand new, limited edition, red Mount Gay BassAckwards 2015 caps!
At the Saturday Afternoon Awards Party ...
- More music, the open bar, and food ('cause we know you just got off the water and are probably parched and starving)!
- Race trophies will be presented first - just like you asked ....
All this for only $200 per boat to cover some of our costs. KYC and our sponsors foot a lot of the bill, and it would make our lives much easier if you could sign up early. Help us spend our volunteer energies putting together a great event rather than chasing crew around to enter at the last minute.
