Our Best-Ever Cranberry Sauce Recipe ...

Cranberry Sauce

The best cranberry sauce ever! Don't show up to Thanksgiving dinner without it.

  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  •  3/4 cup water
  •  1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  •  1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  •  1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  •  12 ounces of fresh cranberries
  • Zest of 1 orange (orange part only)

In a large, heavy saucepan, add sugar, water and spices and cook, stirring often, until sugar dissolves, syrup is clear and comes to a rolling boil, about 3 minutes. 

 

In a colander, rinse and pick over the cranberries to remove any mushy ones. Add cranberries to boiling syrup and continue cooking, uncovered, just until they begin to pop, about 2-3 minutes (set the timer). Be careful not to cook them too long or they will get mushy.

 

Remove from heat, stir in orange zest and cool to room temperature, uncovered. 

Ladle into clean jars or plastic containers, label and refrigerate until serving time.

 

Makes about 2 1/2 cups sauce, enough to serve 6-8.

As the days get shorter and grayer, we'll take any opportunity
to recall the fun and sunshine of last summer. The holidays are
a perfect excuse for one more party!

We're expecting about 60 Kingman Boaters and Yacht Club Members to meet at the Courtyard Restaurant in Cataumet on Saturday, December 6th at 6:30PM. The dress is "Cape Cod Classy," the food is delicious, and the music will be hot!

Chris Baker. Cocktail hour is 6:30-7:30, so don't be late!
All this for just $50 per person for Yacht Club Full Members
and $60 for Kingman Boaters, Social Members, friends and 
guests.  Entree choices include:
  • Chicken Saltimboca
  • Baked Stuffed Sole
  • Queen Cut Prime Rib Au Jus

Since we're taking over the whole restaurant and need to
provide a head count, we'll need your registration along
with payment by Monday, December 1st. You can make your
