Congratulations to Our New Kingman Yacht Club Flag Officers ...
|
... And a huge "thank you" to the departing officers who have helped build KYC as the center of the Kingman community!
Candy Guay (Vice Commodore), Karen Riley (Purser) and Ellen Sullivan (Secretary) have served as officers for a combined total of 17 years! As the three of them step down and take a break from running our Club, we'd like to introduce the new KYC Operations Board for the term 2015-16:
Jerry Murphy Commodore
Bernie Temple Rear Commore
Nikki Ivers Purser
Susan McCusker Secretary
The office of Vice Commodore / Event Committee Chair will be restructured for the coming term to spread the work of overseeing our events calendar across a group of people rather than burdening one individual.
The new officers will be reaching out to our full and social members this winter to get your input about next summer's calendar - and if you'd be interested in helping to "captain" an event, we'd love to hear from you!

Sad to say, the parade of boats coming ashore for the winter has begun. Hundreds will store here in care of the marina, but if you're winterizing your own boat these projects should be performed this fall to protect your boat from moisture, freezing or corrosion damage ....

The Chart Room crew was decked out for the closing yesterday! They asked us to pass on their thanks for a great summer, and to tell you that they can't wait to see you in May!
