Annual Meeting of the Kingman Yacht Club
Sunday, October 4th 11AM
What did you think of the season? Do you have suggestions for next year? What would you do differently? This is the chance for all Full Members to speak their minds and help steer our club into the future. Your opinion matters and we need your input.
In addition, this is an election year, with candidates for Flag Office running for Commodore, Vice Commodore, Rear Commodore, Secretary and Purser. If you are interested in a hands-on opportunity to design and implement the next two summers of fun at Kingman Yacht Center, we'd love to hear from you. We'll post the slate of candidates, as well as proxy information in next weeks's Scuttlebutt.
Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there.

The Kingman Community Can Make a Difference!
Please Join Us in Our Effort to Help the Local Coast Guard Service Men and Women Who Stand Ready to Help Us ....

"As a lifelong boater, I can't think of anything more frightening than being far away from shore in a disabled boat. I hope you're never faced with an emergency on the water, but if you are I can guarantee you'll never forget the relief you feel the moment you see the Coast Guard coming to your rescue. They're there for you when you need them. I'm asking you to be there for them - by making a gift today to the Coast Guard Foundation."
Those are the words of a Kingman Boater who, after being rescued himself, has decided to do work through the Coast Guard Foundation to do something positive to help the families of our local Coast Guard servicemen and women. This member of our community has anonymously offered to match the donations of other Kingman Boaters up to $32,500 to refurbish the community rec center at Air Station Cape Cod.
This is a chance for us - as boaters and members of the Kingman Community - to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of those servicemen and women - right here in our home waters - who are here for us in our times of need. Every dollar we donate will go directly to the $65,000 rec center restoration, and will be matched dollar for dollar by our anonymous Kingman Boater.
Please CLICK HERE today to make a tax-deductible donation to this Coast Guard Foundation project. Let's demonstrate that the Kingman Community can provide vital assistance to one of the Coast Guard's most essential assets - their families. Thank you.

Join Us for Saturday's Shining Sea Bike Path Ride
|

Saturday, October 4th
The Shining Sea Bikeway travels 10.7 miles across an ancient coastal plain through woodlands, salt marshes, cranberry bogs, fresh and salt ponds, seascapes, and a busy working harbor. It's the only bikeway on Cape Cod that has a section along the seashore, and provides a nice, flat trail to accommodate bikers of all abilities.
Join us for an autumn ride for all or part of the bike path. We'll meet at the head of the path in North Falmouth (behind Dean's Market at the intersection of Rtes 151 and 28A) at 10:00AM.
The group will meet at the Landfall Restaurant in Woods Hole around 11:45 for lunch, where will we have tables reserved for our group. The Club will pick-up the lunch tabs for full members who ride with us.
In the event that rain forces us to cancel the ride, we'll post notice on the Kingman Facebook page before 9:15AM Saturday.
