Join Us Saturday Nite for Dinner & A Movie

                  Captain Ron Cover

Bring a dish and an attitude.  Aarrrgggghh!  Dinner's at 7:00 in the KYC Clubhouse - followed at 9:00 by the first Boat-In Movie of the summer - Captain Ron!

If you can bring something for dinner, please contact Candy Guay to let her know so we don't end up with 16 desserts and no entree (although ...)

The movie will be projected onto the wall of the big shed facing the front face docks, and the soundtrack will be broadcast on 90.3 FM.  Watch it from your boat, or pull up a chair on the "lawn" next to the travel lift.

It's more FREE fun from Kingman Yacht Center!

Or ... Skip the Flick and Join Our Overnight Cruise

to Hadley Harbor

                Hadley Harbor

Our first "mini-cruise" of the summer is this weekend.  Based on multiple requests, we have scheduled a short cruise to Hadley Harbor, with some boats heading down Friday the 27th (after fueling up with the 50/50 special) or Saturday morning the 28th.  As many of you know, Hadley is only about 10 miles south of Scraggy Neck and is situated just before the entrance to Woods Hole.

Hadley Harbor is described by many as the one of the most picturesque tiny harbors between Boston and Newport. There are NO public facilities or amenities which is one of the reasons why this is such a beloved anchorage.

The Forbes family maintains about a dozen private moorings that are open to travelling yachtsmen on a no-charge, first-come, first-serve basis. Although these moorings are very popular and go quickly, there are anchorage spots in the Inner Habor (south of Bull Island) and the Outer Harbor (north of Bull Island).  There are numerous places to explore via inflatables and expect to see wild horse, deer and other native animals.

Please contact Jerry Murphy or Bernie Temple to sign up and/or obtain further information.  Hope to see you on the water!

Share the Waterways with Children from

Crossroads for Kids

July 8th at 9:00AM at Parker's Boatyard

Started by Raz Parker when he heard of a few kids from a camp down Cape that wanted to go for a boat ride, this is the 17th year for Share the Waterways!  Dave Foynes has taken the reigns, and will host more than 100 kids from Crossroad for Kids, staff members and volunteers.

It is all works because of those of you who give of your time and boats for a few hours. The more boats we have, the more kids can get out on the water.

Please let Dave know if you can participate this year, and how many kids you can take on your boat. The kids are assigned to the boats before they arrive so it is important that we know as soon as possible if you can join us.

Contact Dave Foynes, senyof@comcast.net, or 781/307-2466.
