Bauer CEO Kevin Davis scheduled to participate in NSGA's Management Conference
 Kevin Davis, the President, CEO and Director of Bauer, is scheduled to take part in the NSGA's 49th Annual Management Conference and 15th Annual Team Dealer Summit on May 5-8 at PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. Davis will be part of a discussion, "The State of Sporting Goods Retailing Panel," from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, May 6. Brian Shactman of CNBC will moderate the panel discussion.
Davis has been in charge of Bauer, the most recognized and strongest brand in the ice hockey equipment industry, since 2008 and has been with the company since 2002. Connecticut minor league team honors victims of Newtown tragedy
The Bridgeport (Conn.) Sound Tigers, a member of the American Hockey League, wore alternate jerseys in their Dec. 22 home game to pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. On the back of the Sound Tigers' jerseys were the last names of the 26 who lost their lives.
Those jerseys will be presented to families and friends of the Sandy Hook tragedy after the Sound Tigers' Jan. 20 home game. They will also have a pair of auctions with the proceeds going to Sandy Hook Elementary School.

NSGA has joined the PHIT America coalition on our members' behalf to help educate Americans about the importance of sports participation and the sedentary crisis in the United States.
PHIT America, which will officially launch in January, is an important step in helping to encourage increased sports participation, which will benefit Americans by making them healthier and create additional consumers to shop in our member stores.
