Baskets Needed!
We are looking for some large baskets for various projects around the school! If you happen to have any large baskets (at least 1 foot wide/round) that you don't plan on using, please bring them to the high school front office!

Carrabba's Night
We will have Carrabba's cater a fantastic buffet dinner as we do every year! Join us on Thursday, February 28th, from 6-8 pm in the Vanguard Cafetorium. Pre-paid reservations can be made at any front office. Dinner is $12 for adults and students in grades 7-12, $8 for students in grades K-6, and free for children under the age of 5. All reservations and payments must be received by February 26. There will be two dinner times to choose from: 6pm or 7pm. The band program will be auctioning off delectable homemade desserts. Plan on bidding and take one home! Our Vanguard Band will benefit greatly by all of your support, so make it a family treat, and bring the grandparents, too! |

School Board Elections
The school is seeking Individuals that are interested in running for the two open seats on the Board of Directors for the 2013-2014 school year. In order to be eligible, one candidate must be a resident of D12, and have at least 50% of their eligible children enrolled in the school. The other candidate does not need to be a resident of D12, but still must have 50% of their children enrolled. Candidates must have also attended at least 3 complete Board meeting in the 12 months prior the date of candidate verification for eligibility. Click here for more information. |

High School Basketball Games this Weekend!
Come support our high school basketball teams this weekend in the Vanguard Gym! Our girls are undefeated this season, and the boys have had the best season in Vanguard history.
Friday, February 15th: Miami-Yoder (JV Boys at 4:00, Varsity Girls at 5:30, and Varsity Boys at 7:00)
Saturday, February 16th: Peyton (JV Girls at 3:00, JV Boys at 4:30, Varsity Girls at 6:00, and Varsity Boys 7:30) |

Kidpower is coming to CMCA in February
Kidpower of Colorado (www.kidpowerCS.org), a nonprofit agency, provides comprehensive safety education skills to children and their families. Kidpower's purpose is to teach young people personal safety and confidence-building skills to reduce their risk of being bothered by strangers and people they know. See flyer for date and times. |

On Broadway Performance
Come join The Vanguard School for a night On Broadway on Thursday, February 21st, at 7:00 pm in the Vanguard Cafetorium. The concert features the high school choir and many solos, duets, and small groups performing music from Broadway shows! Admission is $1, and cash or check is accepted!
