Parent Teacher Conference Scheduling
Conferences slots are still available for Thursday, November 1st, and Friday, November 2nd. If you have not already scheduled a conference for your 7th-12th grader and would still like to, we ask that you complete this online conference scheduling form for each child in grades 7-12. We will then contact you to confirm your conference date and time. Conferences will be around 15 minutes in length, and we will do our best to ensure that as many of your child's teachers are in attendance as possible.
Musical Tickets on Sale to the Public Tuesday
Tickets for The Vanguard School's musical, The Music Man, will go on sale to the public Tuesday, October 30th. Tickets can be purchased at the high school front office. Tickets are $10 for reserved seats, $8 for adult general admission, and $4 for student/child general admissions.
Support the NHS Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
The Vanguard School's National Honor Society will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast at Applebee's on Galley,
Saturday, October 27th, from 7 A.M. -10 A.M. Funds raised will support charities selected by NHS members. Tickets are $7 and provide all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, and drinks. Tickets will be sold at each building's front office, and you can also purchase tickets at the door.

High School Halloween Dress Up
The high school Student Council will be hosting a Halloween dress up day for high school students on Wednesday, October 31st. Please note that this dress up day is for high school students; junior high students should wear their school uniforms on Halloween.
Props Needed for Vanguard's Musical
The Vanguard School will proudly present The Music Man on November 16, 17, and 18. We are in need of several props to help make the production a success. Perhaps you have an old suitcase, some picnic baskets, or an Indian head-dress in your basement or garage? Check out the attached document for a complete list of needed items! Please bring any items (labeled with your name) to Mrs. Fleming's classroom in the high school (room 212). For questions, pplease email Mrs. Fleming.
Tickets on Sale Tuesday for Broadway Show War Horse
Early Christmas present? High school students have the opportunity to see the award-winning Broadway show, War Horse, in Denver on January 17, 2013 at the Buell Theater. Tickets are on sale from Mrs. Tripoli from October 30th to November 13th. The cost is $88. Transportation by school bus is being paid by a generous donation.
Girls PE Classes
During the month of November, the Girls' PE classes will be having a track unit. To add variety to where they run, Ms. Buhs is taking them into the wooded area behind the high school for a few days. Weather Policy
Cheyenne Mountain Charter Academy and The Vanguard School will be bound by District 12 (D-12) decisions on whether to close, delay opening, or announce early dismissal because of inclement weather.
Click here for a list of places you can check to find out if school is delayed or closed. In all cases of bad weather, parents should exercise their own judgment about whether to transport their children to school. Tardy arrivals or absences on such occasions will be excused.
Day of Excellence: February 15th
In recognition of our high school being the top-performing school in Colorado (for the 6th consecutive year) based on CSAP/TCAP scores, the CMCA School Board has approved a day off in celebration of this excellence. The Celebration of Excellence Day will take place on Friday, February 15, 2013, and all students (K-12) and staff will have that day off.
Holiday Bazaar
Our first holiday bazaar will be held on
