Play Reading: Light Up the Sky
The public is invited to participate in the Library Play Reading Group on Wednesday, January 21 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM , and every 3rd Wednesday of the month until next summer.Playreading This month the group will read Light Up the Sky (1948), a comedy by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Moss Hart.

In the story, a first-time play writer, and the actors, producer, director, etc. of a play first meet to celebrate opening night, then after an odd reaction from the audience get all upset and think it is a failure.  When the reviews are finally published they are favorable, however the playwright is disgusted after suffering through the rollercoaster of emotion, and decides that he has had it with writing plays.

The group welcomes inexperienced and experienced readers alike. The only criteria are the love of plays and the joy of reading them aloud among like-minded theater fans. For further information, contact the Blue Hill Library at 374-5515 or Michael Donahue at 374-5248, or Donahue.mg@gmail.com.
We Want Your Opinion!
The Library is inviting full- and part-time Peninsula residents to fill out a survey about the Library that takes only a few minutes.opinion The survey is part of a strategic planning effort the Library is undertaking, and has to do with the range of services offered by the Library as well as how the library is funded. A link to the survey can be found on the Library's home page at www.bhpl.net and will be available until early in February. For more information contact the Library at 374-5515.
