We got a great response and the overwhelming majority of readers want to continue receiving just one newsletter a month with the Integrated Reiki™ information included in it.  So that's what we will continue to do.

 Hatha Yoga classes 

Please join us monthly on a Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 9:00pm and unwind from the busyness of life and nourish your body and soul.

    Following dinner we will transition to the Gathering Room or the Yoga Studio for a guided meditation, a presentation or a mini-event.

    Take some time each month just for you and reconnect to yourself and your spiritual center.

Why the name True North? 

When travelers, either by land or by sea, need to find their direction, they seek True North.  Once they know where North is, they can set their compass by what is true and unmovable and cannot be lost as long as they keep True North in sight. 

As individuals, we each need to determine for ourselves what is absolute and unmovable in our lives and in our personal belief system.  What is it by which you set the compass of your life?  When all around you is confusing, or the sign posts are few and far between or terribly blurred, what absolute can you point toward and feel assured that you are on the right course? 

True North Holistic Center and Retreat House is here to offer space for inner reflection, classes and workshops that explore various aspects of how we live our lives, and training in modalities that bring healing, clarity, and wholeness.

Our new logo represents the compass pointing True North.  The center spiral represents life force energy and the cycles of life where the old passes away so that the new may emerge.  The light that shines behind the logo represents the light we try to offer individuals that will illuminate their life.  

Our beginnings:

We began our work with the purchase of our property at 82 Healdville Road in Hubbardston, MA, in November 2007.   We have grown and evolved over these 6 years and are emerging as a center for holistic health: wholeness of body, mind, and spirit.

The commitment to our original vision and mission of being a place to offer women a tranquil sanctuary for personal retreats and transformational teachings has not changed.  That will always be the foundation of our work.

We have, however expanded our vision to include classes, workshops and trainings in nutrition, movement (such as Yoga), life coaching, life transitions, meditation, sound healing, and more.  We also have an extensive Integrated Reiki™ certificate-training program and offer opportunities for private healing sessions, energetics training, and Integrated Reiki™ Clinics open to the public.  A variety of our programs are now open to men and women alike.

Mindfulness is a type of meditation that involves focusing on the present, being aware of your thoughts and actions, inviting without judgment whatever comes into your awareness.  

Focus will be on breathing, learning to relax, paying careful moment-to-moment attention to what arises inside and outside of you.  Research suggests that mindfulness meditation may improve mood, decrease stress, and boost immune function.

Art & Intuition: Residing in the Right Brain World

Most creatives tend to be happiest residing in the right side of their brains; the receptive feminine.  The same can be said for most intuitives.  As women, much of our power comes from our intuition.
