Your July To-Do List

If you are a fan of the lazy, hazy, crazy days of Summer, you are in the right place.

It seems as if Downtown Santa Barbara has more to offer during the summertime than any other time of the year, maybe it's true. The promise that begins with a glorious Summer Solstice Parade in June and carries through to Viva la Fiesta August is anchored by July in the middle. So what's to do in July?

To start with, some big news: after being closed for more than 7 months, we're happy to report that the northbound lane from Cabrillo Boulevard up State Street is now open! Lower State Street is once again open to traffic in both directions - and just in time to find your spot on the beach for the July 4th fireworks. So you may freely get down there, or up here, on State Street (check).

You'll find our new website will be extremely helpful for finding what you're hungry for - ice cream, candy, chocolates - even healthier bites. But then...eating "healthier" is not what July is for, right? Take a cruise around our new site and see what you can find! (check)

Downtown SB in July is not only a great place for shopping, dining and browsing a Farmers Market, it's also ideal for finding the perfect place to celebrate National Ice Cream Day on July 17th!

Ice cream, fro-yo, gelato, custard, shakes - we have it all, you just have to know where to lick, um, look. And when you find your favorite, please let us know - we're glad to confirm your findings. (check)

One last Solstice Parade photo - the "elves" of DSB and Chamber SB with Day-Glo Santa.
You had to be there. (check)
