Subject: Comments on the Anderson Grade Separated Path Project

To whom it may concern:

[Personalized introduction - who are you? Why do you care about this underpass?]

Thank you for moving forward with the design of a pedestrian/bicycle underpass at the Anderson Memorial Bridge. I was thrilled to see the advance of this project with the public meeting announcement. A grade-separated path at this congested intersection is crucial for improving the safety of path users and for increasing connectivity for runners, pedestrians, and cyclists, especially given increasing numbers of pedestrians and bike riders using these pathways each year.

An underpass in the river through the bridge arch would severely limit boat use of the Charles - it is clear that an underpass through the bridge abutment is the best option to create a grade separated path and improve the intersection for path users and vehicles alike. Thank you again for continuing the design of this underpass that is so vital to the community.

Sincerely,

[Your name]
