When driving home my carpool through Wyntercreek and Mill Glen Subdivisions this week I saw a ton of great holiday lights.  I know Redfield also traditionally has some great displays.  There's a fabulous display on Stratham Drive near my house that I'm sure all the kids will LOVE (Kudos to Steve & Cindy!)   Where have you found great lights and decorations?  Click here to post a comment and tell us about it!

Wanted: Suggestions for great holiday light viewing in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Brookhaven & Beyond

christmas_lights22In 2011 I posted a question to the Aha! subscribers asking about ideas for nearby spots to view holiday lights.  You can click here to see that post and read the responses. For the record,  I don't have a single strand of lights in my yard......YET!  However, there are some talented folks out there who go the extra mile to light up the season with festive decorations and dazzling displays.   I want to know if you've found any fabulous local discoveries that you can share with us so that we can all ride by and enjoy!   Please leave a comment on this post if you have a yard to tell us about! 

If you have any reason to visit Fayetteville, Ga, here's a great one to check out!   The blue, orange and white light display is set to the radio broadcast from the end of the Tigers' miraculous 2013 Iron Bowl victory over Alabama and the Auburn fight song as performed by the Auburn University Marching Band.   The show runs until New Year's Eve from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. every night.

 Polar Plunge at Lake Lanier on 2/15/14 to support Special Olympics Georgia  

For the 5th year, Special Olympics Georgia and the Law Enforcement Torch Run of Georgia are proud to host our annual Polar Plunge at Lake Lanier Islands Sunset Cove on Saturday, February 15, 2014!   The Polar Plunge is the largest fundraising effort benefiting Special Olympics.  Many states across the nation participate in this annual event through the efforts of their Law Enforcement Torch Run program.
