Note from Audra: I didn't have much time to read in Panama City last week while trying to entertain two baseball teams in the monsoon..... but I did find time to read one book! This one gets 5 stars from me! I had a hard time putting it down and loved being transported in time. The characters are amazing and teach wonderful lessons about love and loyalty regardless of race....but you are certainly reminded of the evils of slavery and prejudice. It's captivating and marvelously written.
