Pebble Tossers 4th annual Veteran Visit to the VAMC will be this Friday, July 5th. Join our visit with residents in the Eagle's Nest and visitors in the waiting areas at the VAMC.  Click below to register:

In honor of Independence Day, join Pebble Tossers in a heartfelt Thank You Tribute to our Veterans. Hand deliver cards at the Veterans Administration Medical Center off Clairmont Road in Decatur. Listen to their stories, view their scrapbooks, and gain a new appreciation for Independence Day.

This event is full of fun for the entire family and includes one of the best fireworks shows around. There will be live music, food and activities for the family.

  • 5 p.m. Concessions open - The Mad Italian, Frosty Caboose, Chamblee Parks & Recreation
  • 5 p.m. Bike parade from Chamblee Middle School
  • 5 p.m. Activity Booths open
  • 5-8 p.m. Train rides
  • 6 p.m. Corn Hole Tournament - register online.
  • 6-9 p.m. Live musical performance by Mike Veal Band
  • 9:15ish p.m. (after dark) Fireworks show

NOTICE - BOY SCOUT BBQ MEALS - TROOP 266
" If the parade is cancelled and it is raining then anyone with meal preorders can pick up their meals at the Troop tent.
If it is lightning, then please come to the back of Dunwoody United Methodist Church for pickup".

DeKalb Recycling Schedule for Independence Holiday Week

  • No collection services on Thursday, July 4th.
  • Regular garbage collection schedule will run one day late thru Saturday July 6, 2013.
     
  • Thursday's blue box and yard waste recycling will be serviced on Friday (7/5)
