Good morning everyone and Merry Christmas Eve!  I just wanted to get a quick email out to y'all with a few updates to the Christmas Eve Church Services, a notice about a missing Australian Shepherd and an update from McDaniel about the huge shipment of stuffed animals and money that she sent to Connecticut from Dunwoody!

I also learned about a new Santa Tracker service from Google that I'll post for you below.  No email tomorrow unless we have an emergency and I'll pick back up with keeping you all connected after Christmas!

I also want to thank our sponsors this week.  The Aha! Connection is so fortunate that there are wonderful businesses in our community that make The Aha! very scared - will run

He's super skittish, was last seen in Chamblee (near the Walmart on Peachtree Industrial) heading north.

I live in Brookhaven, and he ran away as soon as we got home from the shelter.  I'm desperate for him to be caught and come home so i can spoil him.  However he does not come to anyone, and is super fast and runs away.

Google Santa Tracker

santasleigh

On Christmas Eve we'll be proudly showcasing a preview of Santa's dashboard - the technology that powers his sleigh during his around-the-world journey. We've received this special preview from one of Santa's many developer elves, who are hard at work in the North Pole helping Santa prepare for his big day. Santa's dashboard - featuring the latest and greatest in Google Maps technology and sleigh engineering - will allow you to follow his progress around the world, and also learn a little about some of his stops along the way.

Our friendly elves have also invited you to explore Santa's village while Santa gets ready for his journey. So go ahead and explore his village, you might just find some fun activities and meet some interesting elves.

The Google Maps Santa Tracker is created and developed by Google, with a little help from Santa's elves.

The Countdown Until Santa's Sleigh Ride Begins

It's December and the countdown to Santa's sleigh ride begins. Every year it is tradition for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to track and report Santa's whereabouts to the children of the world as he begins his journey to deliver presents. Have your kids check out our "Tracking Santa on Christmas" page where they can watch a video and learn how NORAD tracks Santa.

The tradition started by accident on December 24, 1955 when a department store placed an advertisement in a Colorado Springs newspaper which told children that they could telephone Santa Claus and included a number for them to call. However, the telephone number printed was incorrect and the calls went to the Colorado Springs' Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Center. The colonel on duty that night, told his staff to give all children that called in a "current location" for Santa Claus. The tradition continued when the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) replaced CONAD in 1958
