On the front lines of the immune health revolution
Director, Global Research and Marketing

If ever there were a golden age of nutrition-based immune health science taking shape in the world, it may be now. More and more research is coming online illustrating how the gut microbiome--the millions of genetic variations of bacteria living in our gut ecosystem--impacts immune and other health functions in humans and animals.
The interest in human health implications is growing rapidly, with major media stories, global conferences and even consumer gut microbiome web sites getting more attention all the time. Indeed, experts are telling us that a healthy gut with balanced microbiota can impact body weight, brain function, immune health (of course), heart health and many conditions associated with cellular inflammation. As one health writer put it: "There's a rainforest in our guts, and we're just beginning to explore it."
I hope you'll take some time to read Stephanie Frankenbach's overview of EpiCor, the human immune health supplement ingredient manufactured by our sister company, Embria Health Sciences. It summarizes the many physiological modes of action associated with EpiCor, and shows how gut health supplementation may be linked with an array of health parameters.
Who knows where we'll be 10 or 20 years from now. Time--and good science--will tell.
As always, we appreciate your readership of PoultryAdvisor and welcome your input.
Kind regards,
Mike
