70 years of getting results today
Last month in this column I introduced readers to the upgraded Diamond V web site, its easier navigation and the considerable new video content we've added. You could say our web content is a digital representation of all of the animal health and nutrition expertise, science and service to customers that we've accumulated over the past 70 years. And if you click the "Celebrating 70 Years..." badge at the bottom left side of our web front page, you'll open a new video highlighting the seven decades of our evolution. While we're proud of our history and heritage, we know that producers care most about "what you have done for me lately." Be assured that will always be top of mind for us as well. For the past 25,500+ days, we've been producing financial results for our clients for the here and now, and looking forward by investing in science and technology that keep those results going day after day, year after year, decade after decade.
As always, we appreciate your readership of PoultryAdvisor and always welcome your input.
Kind regards,
Mike

Technical Update
New bird flu strain is different from others
This human outbreak from an avian influenza virus is quite different than other human infections in that the virus is showing no ill effects in birds but has been found to be very deadly to humans. No human to human transmission has been noted. The first human deaths were reported on March 31. It is hoped that the World Health Organization and the Chinese can control the spread of this very unusual virus.
