OKACAA Spring Conference to Focus on ROMA

The OKACAA Spring Conference to be held March 12-14 at the Holiday Inn in Norman will feature a series of sessions on Results Oriented Management and Accountability. Other sessions will deal with the Open Meeting Act, domestic violence, healthy homes, child support enforcement and children of incarcerated parents.

Batterers Intervention Program

ACMI House operated by Southwest Oklahoma Community Action Group is offering a Batterers Intervention Program to provide domestic violence offenders with an opportunity to stay out of jail by participating in an intensive one-year program that focuses on accountability and re-education.

An unexpected donation from Flint Energy to the Little Dixie Community Action Agency Court Appointed Special Advocates Program triggered community wide "CASA Toy Drive" that enabled the agency to bring Christmas to about 350 children.

An online community needs assessment tool provides quick and easy access to information from multiple federal and other national data sources for any state or county in the nation. Data is downloadable and editable in a Microsoft Word document. Information can be summarized using tables and charts.
