NEW CERTIFICATE PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
UNLV Continuing Education constantly looks for opportunities to develop programs to provide training for Southern Nevada's workforce. Two new certificate programs launching this fall address in-demand skills and support growing industries.
Job openings for interpreters in Nevada are expected to increase 44 percent in the next ten years. The Legal Interpretation Certificate: Spanish will help provide more court interpreters to ensure language barriers do not become legal barriers for people whose primary language is not English.
With more than 34,000 fitness centers in the United States, many fitness and wellness professionals need to be competitive in the business world. The Fitness Business Management Certificate will prepare entrepreneurs, owners, or managers to implement successful fitness business strategies.

UNLV Reaches Out Into the Community
If you live near downtown or in Henderson, you have the opportunity to take an academic class for credit from UNLV. Community2Campus has worked with UNLV academic departments to provide more of these classes at off-site locations in the Las Vegas Valley for the Fall 2016 semester. The following classes will be offered at The Center (401 S. Maryland Pkwy.) and the Henderson Multigenerational Center (250 S. Green Valley Pkwy.):
