Workforce Connections Provides Funding to Train New RN Graduates


The Workforce Connections' Board of Directors has approved $200,000 to fund participation for 66 newly

-graduated registered nurses in the GAP Training for RNs

program. This program was developed as a partnership 

between UNLV Continuing Education and the UNLV School of Nursing to offer real-world experience for newly-graduated nurses as they transition from school to professional practice.

During Fall 2014, Continuing Education offered several new certificate programs and personal enrichment courses. We are putting the spotlight on two.

Cannon Survey Center: Client Centered, Data Driven  

Cannon Survey Center (CSC) is ready to meet your survey needs. CSC has expertise in
collecting and analyzing data while maintaining scientific rigor and ethical oversight of the data collection process. Surveys can be conducted online, via landline or cellphone, face-to-face in the field, or by email. CSC also has bilingual staff to provide survey administration in Spanish.

Would you like to experience an adventure of a lifetime on the Colorado River next summer? Attend an upcoming free multimedia program to learn more about Grand Canyon Raft Trip: A Confluence of Art & Science. The trip leaders, UNLV geologist Peg Rees and artist/naturalist Sharon Schafer, will share stories and images from previous trips and answer questions about what to expect on the 8-day journey in July 2015.
