Summer Term 2014: Get Ahead. Graduate Sooner.

Young Adults in Group

The 2014 Summer Term is now underway, with Summer Term I starting May 19. Summer courses have the same academic content as the fall or spring courses, but these courses move at a much faster pace, a fact many students enjoy so they can focus their attention on one or two topics.

There are a few things to remember about Summer Term:

  • Courses are open to both degree seeking and non-degree seeking undergraduate and graduate students.
  • High School juniors and seniors who meet GPA requirements for UNLV admission may participate in the Early Studies Program and earn college credit.

  • Registration policies for summer are different, so please visit the Summer Term website, summerterm.unlv.edu, for important add, drop, and payment information.

2014 Session Dates

Summer Term I: May 19 - June 6
Summer Term II: June 9 - July 11
Summer Term III: July 14 - August 15

The 2014 Summer Term eSchedule is available online.

OLLI Members Exercise Their Way to Better Brain Health

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNLV (OLLI at UNLV) has built its reputation on keeping members' minds nimble through thought-provoking courses and discussions. The educational benefits of OLLI are so well known that people may be surprised to see several physical activity courses on the weekly schedule. Tai Chi, dance, and chair exercise courses have all developed a following among OLLI members.

On a recent visit to the Paradise campus, the gymnasium was flowing with energy from a class full of Tai Chi students. Read more
