St. Charles Catholic School Weekly News
April 5, 2016
I hope everyone had a joyful Easter and restful break. It is so hard to believe that we are just 2 months away from summer vacation. It has been a great year thus far. I am excited about all the upcoming events with our 8th graders and looking forward to finishing out the year strong! Please keep in mind that even though spring sports are in full swing, school is still just as important. Schedules and structure are important to remember. Children learn best when they are well rested and know the routine!
True perspective-your athlete will be one for a short period of time. They will be a mom/dad /husband/wife much longer. Build 4 future.

APRIL IS NATIONAL CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
The month of April each year is dedicated to acknowledging the importance of families and communities working to prevent child abuse and neglect and to promote social and emotional well-being of children and families.

During the month of April and throughout the year, communities are encouraged to build knowledge and skills and promote access to resources necessary to keep children safe.  What can you do in our parish or school community to support this awareness effort?

Sincerely,
Ann Lachowitzer
Principal

Pre-Engineering Using LEGO
Dream it. Build it. Wreck it. Repeat.
Kids are already naturally gifted creators. Then they get added inspiration from our specially trained instructors. They dive into our massive collections of LEGO. And while they build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, they explore fundamental principles of engineering and physics. They also learn to collaborate and create without fear of mistakes. The experience is joyful, the impact long-lasting.
