The Beatitudes of St. Charles
The 2015-16 school year is off to a great start.
Congratulations!
We believe that this accomplishment is due, in part, to the new expectations we have as a staff. This year the students were introduced to the Beatitudes of St. Charles Catholic School.

What You Can Expect From Your New Principal
  • I have an overall vision for the school. I will spend this year learning out the St. Charles School community and how I can be a part of the team.
  • I have a plan to address academic achievement.  Together with all stakeholders we will continue to focus on academic achievement and set goals for school-wide academic improvement.
  • I will be fair and consistent. I will not play favorites and I will follow procedures.
  • I will spend time in the halls, classrooms, lunch room and outdoors.  I will model the beatitudes of St. Charles Catholic School. I will try hard to learn every student's name and interact with them daily.
  • I will be at school. I do have meetings to attend, but I will be present and there to support students and staff members.
  • I will return your phone calls/emails. I ask parents/guardians to give me the gift of time and allow up to 24 hours to respond.  I will do my best but please know that my first priority is keeping your child safe.
  • I will listen. Please let me know if there is something wrong. I cannot address problems if I don't know what they are. You may not always agree with the final decision, but know that I am doing what I think is best for students.
  • I have an open door policy. Please stop in and say hello!
School Advisory Council

The Advisory Council met on Tuesday, August 25.  We will be sending out information about the council and how you can help.  In the meantime, I am looking for parents to help us update our five year plan in technology, religion, marketing, and health & wellness.  If you have any interest in helping us review and updaye, please let me know via email: alachowitzer@stcharleskc.org
Special Thanks

Thanks to Tommy and Elizabeth Wasinger for their donations to St. Charles Catholic School. Both of the students celebrated their birthdays over the summer and instead of asking for presents, they asked for money and gifts that could be donated to the school. On Thursday both of the children presented the school with their donations! We appreciate your thoughtfulness and will put the gift cards and money to good use. Thank you for being unselfish.

Hot Lunch Program - The lunch program is off to a great start. Thanks to Michelle Quintero for developing the monthly menus and serving the students each day.  It is a smooth process and the students seem to enjoy the lunches served.

Fall Sports - Volleyball, Cross Country and the Northland Catholic Warriors football team are in full swing.  As always come and cheer on your favorite St. Charles Catholic School Chargers!
