Parent/Teacher Fall Conferences
|
SCS is committed to communicating student learning gains on a continual basis. Principals have recently emailed progress reports for 3rd-12th grade students for first quarter. Teachers and principals are making personal contact with families of students who may be struggling and are making plans to get together to work on plans for increased student success.
This year we are also adding another option for parents to discuss current student progress. Middle and high school teachers will be available on October 27th from 3:30-6:30pm in the gym for drop-in brief conferences. There is no need to sign up in advance for these conferences.
Elementary families will be invited to sign up for a conference meeting to be held the week of October 24th. A link to sign up for a conference time will be emailed soon. Teachers of elementary specials will be available on October 27th between 3:30-6:30pm in the gym for elementary parents to meet and visit.
Thank you for partnering with us for your student's academic success.

THE DRAMA DEPARTMENT
presents:
THE FAMILY NOBODY WANTED
A Three-Act Comedy based on the book by Helen Grigsby Doss
When a young minister and his wife found that they couldn't have children of their own, they set out to adopt some. After adopting young Don (now a handsome, interesting teenager), they wanted many more children. They discovered that children with mixed backgrounds whose ancestry includes peoples with Hawaiian, Mexican, Chinese, Filipino, Spanish, Burmese, Korean and Native American blood had little hope of being adopted. So they adopted a house full of "unadoptables" who grew up together, all part of one family. Now Don, the oldest, is asked to deny these brothers and sisters for the sake of the one girl that matters to him. Based on a true story, set in the 1950s.
Show Times:
Friday, October 28 @ 7:00pm
Saturday, October 29 @ 4:00pm & 7:00pm
SCS Auditorium
Admission at the Door:
