The following documents were sent home with your child on Wednesday. Kindly complete and return these forms to your first period teacher by Monday, August 22.
Parents and students are asked to sign a commitment form (pg. 27) to indicate understanding and support of the standards and policies as outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.
Please carefully review the Attendance policies (beginning on pg. 12) and Dress Code policies (beginning on pg. 24). These policies have been revised to promote on-time and regular attendance and more consistent dress code expectations. It is our hope that observance of these guidelines will allow us all to spend more time and energy on instruction and learning. Thank you in advance for your support and adherence to these policies. Note: We have added clarification in the excused absence section regarding student illness.
All students must turn-in a field trip permission & indemnification form.
New this year, a variety of non-prescription medications will be available in the clinic for your convenience.

Odyssey of the Mind Information Night
|
Monday, August 22
6:30pm
Auditorium
Odyssey of the Mind is an after school program that offers an opportunity for children to develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
Children work together, as a team of 5-7 members, solving problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretations of literary classics.
Sarasota Christian offers this opportunity to all students Kindergarten through 12th grade.
SCS and its teams have enjoyed great success in this program in its eleven years of participating, including 1 World Championship, 14 State Championships, and at least 1 team advancing to World Competition in each of the last 9 years. The true success of the program comes from the children.
Need more info? Contact Susan Kral at [email protected] or 941-321-3399, or log on to www.OdysseyOfTheMind.com.
Decision deadline is Friday, August 26th.
