Odyssey of the Mind Teams Advance to States
|
|
This past weekend 3 of our Odyssey of the Mind teams advanced to State Competition!
Our 3rd/4th grade team came in second place in its problem and division and has advanced to State Competition in Orlando on UCF's campus, Saturday, April 9th.
Our Middle School team came in second place in its problem and division and has also advanced to State Competition.
Our 10th/11th grade team came in first place in its problem and division, earning a Ranatra Fusca Creativity Award for its long-term solution. This award represents the essence of the Odyssey of the Mind program and is given to teams that display tremendous creativity and risk-taking at competition. This team will also compete at the State Competition.
Our Primary team also knocked it out of the park with their first ever appearance at competition. This team of 6 kindergarten through 2nd graders performed well and had a great time. Note: Primary teams don't advance to States based on a score, they are placed in a random drawing. WAY TO GO SCS ODYSSEY STUDENTS!
