Epic Spirit Day Tomorrow
Students, show your Blazer spirit this Friday for the Winter Sports Pep Rally.  We want you to get creative and go all out to show your school spirit.  This is your chance to paint your face, color your hair, wear your jersey, etc.  Have fun with it, but be mindful that your clothing is expected to be appropriate.  (Parents, please don't feel obligated to buy anything special, just use what they already own.)

In addition to having a super-sized spirit day, we're also kicking off a new tradition. This year we're expanding the blue/gold teams beyond elementary school Blazer Olympics.  We love a little friendly competition, so we're launching a Blue/Gold Spirit Team Competition.

Here's how it works:
  • K-12th Blue vs. Gold teams will compete all year for spirit points.  The team with the most points at the end of the year will win the Spirit Trophy and a fabulous prize.
  • Each K-12th grade student has been assigned a team color.  Your entire family will have the same color and you will stay that color each year.
  • Throughout the year, Blue & Gold Spirit Points will be awarded for various activities.  Here are a couple examples of how you can earn points:
    • The team who wins the Pep Rally Spirit Stick may get 10,000 points,
    • or the best dressed team during a Spirit Week may get 12,000 points,
    • or the team who wins Blazer Olympics may get 5,000 points,
    • or the team with the most attendance at a particular athletic game or drama production may get 8,000 points.
  • You never know when or where we'll be giving out spirit points.
Points will start being awarded this Friday at the Pep Rally, so wear your Blazer gear and be ready to cheer loudly.

Friday's Attire Guidelines
Standard clothing parameters are as follows: Jeans are acceptable, no shorts for middle & high school girls, only appropriate pictures/wording on t-shirts, skirts and dresses must be knee-length, no leggings, except under a skirt or dress, shoulders are to be covered, everything must be modest in fit and length, not be torn or have holes.  Basically, just don't push the envelope.

Clinic Visits Now Recorded In RenWeb
The clinic is now using a RenWeb feature called "Medical Events." This new option allows us to note in your child's RenWeb record each clinic visit whether it be the need for a bandage or a medication dose.

You will now receive an email notification each time your child visits the clinic. You can also see a list of their visits by logging into RenWeb.

For questions contact our Director of Student Health Services, Amy Schlabach, at 371-6481, ext. 201 or [email protected].
Yearbook Portraits Deadline Nov. 28

Blazer Bazaar Retires
Please note that the Blazer Bazaar rummage sale will not be held at the Auction this year.

Collecting, storing, pricing and setting up items is very labor intensive and requires tons of volunteer hours while not providing much revenue.

Thank you for understanding that we will not be collecting used items this year.  However, clothing, shoes, blankets or other textile items can still be dropped of in our donation bins located on campus which support our Global Family schools.
SAT/ACT Testing
Seniors should register to take the SAT and/or ACT as soon as possible, if they have not yet tested or obtained benchmark scores showing readiness for college or career. Juniors are encouraged to test as well; it's good practice and gives the opportunity to take again.

SAT registration
is due by Dec. 28 for the Jan. 23 test. The ACT registration is due by Jan. 8 for the Feb. 6 test.

Contact Amanda Schwartz at [email protected] with any questions.
