Uniform Shirt Orders Due Friday

It's time to order your uniform shirts and sweatshirts for the 2013-14 school year. Deadline to order is Friday, May 24. Samples can be viewed at the front office.

Medications in Clinic Must Be Picked Up By Fri.

Please pick up any medication you have provided to the clinic for your student to use this year by Friday, May 24. Medication not picked up will be discarded. Also, if you have borrowed any clothes from the clinic this year please return those by Friday. For questions, please contact Trudi Theis at 371-6481, ext. 201.

Collect Box Tops This Summer!

Just a reminder, our school collects & earns money from Box Tops. Summer is the perfect time to save them. Elementary children will come home with handouts this week to remind you all summer long. You can also download the maze and picnic handouts here.

3 easy goals for the next 3 months

1. complete the fun handouts and turn in when school starts

2. log on to BTFE.com to get reminders & bonus box tops

3. ask others to save box tops for our school
(grandparents, co-workers, aunts/uncles, neighbors)

There will be a drawing from completed sheets for fun prizes in August. Be sure to be included!

Lost & Found

Unclaimed items that have been collected over the last quarter/year will be set out on tables in the main hallway during the last week of school. Please come by and see what's there. You may be surprised and find things you didn't even realize were missing.

All parents and grandparents are invited to attend. Guests may come and go as needed throughout the morning. The seniors will receive and place their engraved bricks on the "graduate path" in the school courtyard at approximately 10:30am.

Last Day of School Early Dismissal (K-12)
Friday, May 24

K-8th grade students will be dismissed at 10:45am and 9th-12th grade students will be dismissed following the Awards Assembly at around 11:00am.

Note: Pre-K has a regular schedule and their last day of school is May 31.

Class and individual graduation photos will be available through Bruce Lehman Photography. DVD copies of Commencement are available for $3. DVD requests and payment can be left at the SCS front office. More information about ordering photos will be shared via senior class sponsors soon.

New This Year: Commencement Live Streaming

Have out-of-town friends and family that can't be here for graduation? Well, this year they will be able to watch the commencement ceremony live! Bahia Vista Mennonite Church has graciously offered to stream our commencement. Simply go to bahiavista.sermon.tv/special_events on Friday at 7:00pm to watch.

Global Family Project Still Needs Your Help

Our Global Family International School Partnership Program has been a tremendous addition to the curriculum this year. We have been amazed at how much students have learned about their class' country and school.

Our goal is to raise $3900 ($300 for each grade level's school). We've raised $2400 so far! However, we still need $1500 to fulfill our promise to the schools. There are a couple of ways you can help:

Make a cash or check donation at the front office.
Make a donation online.

Bring loose change to the donation jar in the main lobby or an elementary classroom.
Drop off used clothing or shoes in the donation bins on campus.
