MasterPlanNew Campus Master Plan Unveiled
This past weekend at the Auction we unveiled the campus master plan and launched our Building on Traditions, Expanding Possibilities capital campaign.

Like most Christian schools, the majority of our revenue comes from tuition and annual fund giving. Yet, these funds alone cannot provide for many of the long-term resources essential to advancing the school.  Fulfilling the goals for our campus is dependent upon individual and corporate giving.

Click here to learn more about the plan and how you can help benefit our students now and in the years to come.

CarLineKindergarten Pick-up Location Change

In an effort to help speed up the car line during pick-up, we're trying a new pick-up location for kindergarten. The kindergarten pick-up spot has now shifted to the pillars west of the main entrance and the students will also be outside by 2:25 pm.

  • Kindergarten parents should now use the second outer traffic lane to bypass the car line until the crosswalk.
  • Once past the crosswalk, parents can move to the lane closest to the curb. (However, please be mindful of other cars that could be driving in that lane to avoid any accidents.)

See the attached visual to reference this new procedure.  Thank you for your patience as we test this new system.

GuidanceDual Enrollment & SCTI Classes - Important Information for High School Students

High school students wishing to take dual enrollment courses or attend Sarasota County Technical School next year should make plans to do so now.

Dual Enrollment Information

Juniors and seniors who meet the prerequisites listed below may earn high school and college credit simultaneously by taking specified dual enrollment courses. All courses are offered on Sarasota Christian School's campus. Student eligibility requirements include a 3.0 un-weighted grade point average and satisfactory scores on an approved placement exam. (State College of Florida PERT Test, an SAT or an ACT.)

  1. Sign up for SAT online at www.collegeboard.com and plan to take in March, April, or May. Practice tests are available online.
  2. Sign up for the ACT online at www.act.org and plan to take in March, April, or May. Practice tests are available online.
  3. Sign up for the PERT by calling the SCF Bradenton Campus Student Services Center at 941-752-5239 or by calling the SCFF Venice Campus Student Services Center at 941-408-1540. Prior to taking the test, students must consult with Mrs. Smith in the Guidance Office to obtain a Dual Enrollment Approval Application form and signature. Plan accordingly as test slots fill quickly.

Students are encouraged to prepare for the PERT by reviewing the resources at www.scf.edu/testing. Click the first icon under the picture at left, "Practice Test and Information Guide", for three study resources.

Sarasota County Technical Institute (SCTI) Information

Students who meet the prerequisites, including a minimum 2.0 un-weighted GPA, may earn technical skills, high school credits, and technical certification in a variety of technical areas by attending SCTI for part of their day during their junior and/or senior year. Students are advised to consult with the Guidance Office before starting 10th grade to ensure all prerequisites have been met.

Please Note: Students who have met the prerequisites must sign up for classes at SCTI now. SCS must receive confirmation of your student's acceptance in the course by May 1st.
