Dear SCS Community,

As many of you already know, our beloved third grade teacher, Stephanie Lee, passed on to her eternal home this past Friday, February 15 around 8:30 p.m.  Her life has touched so many in our SCS community and we all grieve her passing.

The funeral is planned for this coming Wednesday, February 20 at  

10 a.m. at Sarasota Baptist Church with a short reception to follow at an extended family member's home (directions available at the church).  Given the far-reaching impact on our faculty, staff, students, and community, we have decided to cancel school Wednesday, February 20 for kindergarten through 12th grade.  Pre-K will have class as usual.  Please make other arrangements for your child(ren) as the school will be closed. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
