SCS Launches International School Partnerships
We're excited to announce that each of our grades has begun a long-term partnership with an international school through the Global Family program! As citizens of God's kingdom that knows no borders, and as followers of Christ who taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves, Sarasota Christian School has launched partnerships with 13 different international educational institutions supported by Mennonite Central Committee's Global Family program.
Through curricular emphases and regular interchanges, SCS students will increase their knowledge of world cultures and people groups, build international relationships and help gather funds to support these schools in various countries around the globe (as indicated below).

Global Family Fundraising Efforts
Classes have begun fundraising efforts to collect the $300 needed per grade to support our 13 different international school partnerships. If you would like to help support our Global Family initiative, we invite you to participate in class collection efforts or make a monetary donation.
Elementary School Coin Collection  Each kindergarten through fifth grade class has a container for collecting loose change.
Middle School Used Clothing Drive  Middle school students are collecting used clothing items for which they will receive proceeds based on the total weight of the donations. Please drop bagged unwanted clothing into the marked receptacles outside of the auditorium or near the west entrance of the admin/elementary school building.
High School Spirit Wear Days  The high school is fundraising by collecting money from high school students who pay to participate in monthly jeans and spirit shirt weeks. SCS is committed to promoting global citizenship and teaching students' to honor and respect all of God's children, as well as promoting excellent education worldwide. Thank you for your support and participation as we begin this new endeavor!
