NHBCA AND NEA CHAIR JANE CHU MEET TWICE IN MAY

Jane Chu, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, talked with NHBCA executive director Joan Goshgarian during both of her visits to the state. The first was at a small dinner party gathering held during Chu's initial visit. The second was during the NEFA Creative Communities Exchange hosted in Keene at which Chu was the keynote speaker and where Goshgarian facilitated a lunchtime discussion about using creative economy data.

LEADERSHIP, BOARD SERVICE AND ARTS

Throughout the years the NHBCA has participated on various regional and statewide leadership panels. Most recent was a presentation to the Catholic Medical Center Leadership Academy on the importance of volunteering on boards.

At left, Joan Goshgarian joins NH Center for Nonprofit outgoing executive Mary Ellen Jackson and two other community leaders to share experience on board service. This group is an in-house Leadership Academy for high potential leaders to expand their scope and reach within the organization and connections to the community.
