ARTS ORGANIZATIONS CONTRIBUTE TO AWARDS SPONSOR BASKETS
One of the highlights of the Business in the Arts Awards are the ArtsBags filled with cultural goodies from New Hampshire's cultural organizations. This year more than 30 organizations contributed to make a dazzling array of books, tickets, shirts, dvd's and tote bags. See the complete list of organizations and items here.
CAPACITY BUILDING FOR SMALL ORGANIZATIONS

NHBCA Board member and RMC Research principal M. Christine Dwyer led a project that studied capacity building for small arts organizations for ArtsLab, a program of Arts Midwest, that helps arts organizations build their leadership, adaptive, and operational capacities.

The study revealed that organizations who are resilient and show an exceptional capacity to adapt to change have several capacities in common.  Click here to read the case studies and the full report.

NHBCA IN THE NEWS

The Union Leader business editor Mike Cote attended the Business in the Arts Awards. In his follow up blog he quoted leadership winner Michael L'Ecuyer: "We all talk about sports often. We talk about the arts a little less often. At least it seems that way," said L'Ecuyer, who previously served as chairman of the Palace Theatre Board of Trustees. "The people at the event the other night - we're part of a group of people who in this state make sure the arts and the cultural community has its place."
