Greetings!
It's no secret
that the arts are feeling the effects of a challenging economic climate. Since
our founding, the NHBCA's work to connect business and arts is guided by the
belief - and data - that money given to and earned by arts and cultural
agencies does not disappear; it provides jobs and contributes to the wealth of
the region. The quality of life in our region is due in large part to the
quality of our cultural entities. In
addition, the role of creativity is embraced by business, both in the workplace
and in the community.
Your membership
allows us to continue to network with other organizations to keep the arts
strong in New Hampshire and to keep support of the arts in the forefront in all
economies. I hope you'll take a moment to discover what's happening thanks
to your support.

Art Still Sells to Real Estate Developers
Despite a down economy, real estate companies continue to invest in art for their properties. Recognizing that art sets their buildings apart from others, developers like the Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation and Silverstein Properties are continuing the tradition set in place by the Rockefellers. For example, Park Tower Group collaborates with Christie's to run a revolving exhibition of sculptures in their corporate lobby. For information, www.nytimes.com.
New Hampshire developers have long known the value of the arts. Michael Simchik, Eric Chinburg and Stephen Duprey have all incorporated art into their buildings in various ways. Contact arts@nhbca.com for more information about these award-winning projects. |
