Parnagian Family Furthers Legacy of Generosity
Our sincere gratitude to Mr. Dennis Parnagian and family, who generously committed to a landmark $1.5 million gift in support of Valley Children's Hospital. Valley Children's President and CEO Todd Suntrapak says, "Dennis, his brothers Ken, Randy and Philip, along with their cousin Jim and uncle Pete, are models of leadership in agriculture and business. They have succeeded for all the right reasons. This remarkably generous gift marks another chapter in the Parnagians' tremendous history of supporting Valley Children's, as both leaders and philanthropists."
 
The Parnagians' gift is bifurcated with $1 million given to establish the "Sam and Gladys Parnagian Child Life Endowment." The remaining donated funds will support the Children's Fund and be recognized in the Parnagians' hometown of Fowler at the specialty care clinic currently under construction with the naming of the "Parnagian Family Playground."
 
Family patriarch Sam Parnagian modeled the way as a philanthropist. Active in his community, the late Mr. Parnagian arranged for many children, particularly from Fresno's west side, to attend summer camp. Covering all costs, including building the camp in the Sierra Foothills and transportation for all guests, Mr. Parnagian quietly invested in the youth of his community.

Over $701,000 Raised at the 2015 Harvest Ball 

Valley Children's Healthcare Foundation is so humbled by our community's generosity. The 19th annual Harvest Ball raised over $701,000!  A huge thank you to our event sponsors, evening attendees and event vendors for opening your hearts to help make miracles happen. On behalf of the children we serve, thank you for supporting the futures worth fighting for.

The black-tie gala included a special message from former NFL player, David Carr. As a Bakersfield resident and father of two little ones with diabetes, David expressed that he is thrilled with our South Valley expansion. The evening also included a special performance from Meghan Linsey, runner-up on NBC's The Voice. Meghan's visit to the Central Valley started with a trip to Valley Children's to perform for patients and families, and ended with a stellar performance at the Harvest Ball.

This star-studded affair was a successful night for the children we serve. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making the dream become reality!

Inaugural ABC 30 Telethon Raises Over $73,000

Thank you to our generous community for helping to support the ABC30 "Futures Worth Fighting For" Telethon on August 20th, providing over $73,000 in support. Our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors -- The Wonderful Company, Eye-Q Vision Care, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Wild Electric, Fresno Infiniti, PG&E, and Nalchajian Orthodontics -- whose support made this inaugural event a big success.

$168,905 Raised During Annual KISS Country for Kids Radiothon
 
KISS Country for Kids Radiothon, a three-day radio event broadcast live from Valley Children's Hospital, raised a remarkable $168,905 from September 2 through 4. For the seventeenth straight year, 93.7 FM KISS Country dedicated their valuable airtime to reach their audience on our behalf. We are so appreciative of KISS Country's longstanding partnership with Valley Children's. Year after year, your generosity makes a difference in the lives of children.
